The concluding session discusses how a business can leverage the ideas from the conference and integrate sustainable thinking into strategy development and deployment throughout the organization. John explores four key areas: (a) understanding the external and internal environments (environmental scan); (b) developing sustainable strategies; (c) translating sustainable strategies into action; and (d) developing a comprehensive scorecard to monitor progress.

The Northern Colorado Conference on Sustainability was held on April 6, 2009 at the University of Northern Colorado.
